A man has killed himself after a police stand-off at the Village Apartment Complex on Raymond.
FOX 40 is told it started around 5:00 pm. A woman told an off-duty Hinds County deputy that she believed her daughter was danger. She had gotten into a violent domestic dispute with her boyfriend, Caleb Jackson, earlier in the day.
It was then that he made threats to harm himself, his girlfriend and children.
While deputies worked to get more information, they saw Jackson drive through the apartment complex gate and tried to stop him. They followed him to his apartment but when they got up the stairs, they heard two shots fired.
The hostage and swat teams tried to contact Mr. Jackson several times and eventually made entry, only to find him dead inside his apartment from self-inflicted gunshot wounds.
