Palm Beach, FL: Suburban Belle Glade man charged with murder in girlfriend's stabbing death

Although they'd only been together about a year, Antonio Senda Wrencher and Cassandra Hendrix Daly had had a stormy life together.

More than once, a Palm Beach County Sheriff's report says, Daly had called deputies to the couple's suburban Belle Glade home.

In an October visit, she told deputies she was moving out and "will never come back." But she didn't leave.

And last Wednesday, Daly alleged Wrencher threw hot grits in her face.

One day later, early on Thanksgiving Day, the report said, Wrencher stabbed Daly repeatedly in the middle of the street, then calmly told a witness, "Call the police. I just killed her."

Wrencher, 40, is in the Palm Beach County Jail, charged with felony murder. He's being held without bond.

According to the report, deputies came to the 500 block of Southwest Sixth Street, about a half mile from the couple's apartment, and found Wrencher standing over Daly, holding a knife.

He told the deputies he'd just stabbed Daly and directed them to take him to jail, the report said.

It said Daly, 37, died of numerous stabs to the neck and upper chest; she also had defense wounds on her forearms and wrist.

Wrencher later said he had been leaving a bar with Daly but grew upset because she did not want to go.

He said the two were walking home when he "snapped" and began to stab her.

"I killed her and I'm not saying anything more," he told deputies.

The report said that, the day before the slaying, Daly had reported Wrencher had thrown grits in her face; when deputies had arrived for that incident, they could not find Wrencher, and had turned the incident over to the Palm Beach County State Attorney.

Palm Beach County Sheriff's records show that, in the Oct. 18 incident, the deputy urge both Wrencher and Daly to "find professional help or separate because if someone were to get hurt, either party could be arrested. They both agreed to go their separate ways."

Records show Wrencher was arrested in 2000 on a domestic battery charge and also was arrested in 2003 and twice in 2009 for failing to appear in court.
