Spartanburg County, SC: Deputies: Wife Kills Husband In Bed

A Spartanburg County woman was arrested Thursday night after deputies said she killed her husband in bed.

Caroline Dudley Manis, 50, faces a murder charge and was being held at the Spartanburg County Detention Center. Bond had not been set yet on Friday morning.

Deputies were called to the Manis home on Glenn Springs Road in Pacolet just after 9 p.m., according to a report released by the Sheriff's Office.

Investigators found Manis' husband, Paul Alan, slumped over in the bed with a bullet wound to the head. Deputies called the shooting the result of a domestic altercation.
