Police say a 31-year-old mother of five has been fatally shot by her ex-husband, who killed himself after wounding one of the woman's three children as they watched the crime.
Police told the Corpus Christi Caller-Times the shooting occurred shortly after the woman's mother took the victim's two youngest children to eat Sunday afternoon.
Police say the grandmother returned to find two of her grandsons in her front yard screaming for her to call 911.
The newspaper reported that a 14-year-old boy, who isn't the man's son, was on life support at a Corpus Christi hospital Sunday night. Hospital officials didn't immediately return a call Monday from The Associated Press.
Police didn't identify the shooter or the victims.
