Man shot woman, then himself, witnesses say

A man fatally shot a woman Monday afternoon on a street in Chicago's Edgewater neighborhood before he killed himself in front of horrified passers-by.
The shooting occurred about 3:20 p.m. at the entrance of a parking lot near Sheridan Road and Granville Avenue on the Far North Side, Chicago police said.
The two were taken to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, where they were pronounced dead, officials said.
