MIAMI TWP., Montgomery County — Police have not determined what happened to a 23-year-old Oxford man who died early Tuesday following a scuffle that occurred inside his ex-girlfriend’s Covey Run apartment at 2723 Taos Drive .
The Montgomery County Coroner’s office will conduct an autopsy on Jacob Young of the 6000 block of Oxford Milford Road. He died at 4:43 a.m. at Sycamore Hospital in Miamisburg.
A Regional Dispatch Center sergeant said Miami Twp. Police officers were called to 2723 Taos Drive after the dispatch center received a call at 3:36 a.m. from a woman who said her “ex had showed up highly intoxicated and was now passed out on the living room floor.”
When police arrived, they found Young unconscious. He was then transported to the hospital, according to Miami Twp. Police Maj. John DiPietro.
Police believe that Young was involved in a scuffle with his ex-girlfriend’s new boyfriend. However, police did not find any signs of trauma on Young’s body prior to him being transported to the hospital.
No one has been arrested in the incident.
“I want to know what he was doing before he came to those apartments,” DiPietro said.
Right now, police have determined that Young was possibly at a gas station in Franklin prior to arriving at the Taos Drive address.
Anyone with information about Young’s whereabouts should contact the Miami Twp. Police tip line at (937) 434-TIPS.
