Mid-west City, OK: Mother-to-be is killed

 

MIDWEST CITY, OK -- Police are releasing new information involving a Midwest City woman who was brutally murdered on Monday. Despite being five months pregnant, investigators say Stacey Beesly was allegedly stabbed and choked by her fiancé Eric Knox inside of their apartment.

"She was wanting to start her family and have a child and a husband and someone to love her," said her sister Casie Ruthardt

According to Midwest City police Chief Brandon Clabes, Knox allegedly stabbed Stacey because she was "the devil."

"We had some newspaper carriers that flag down a couple of officers who said there was a man running around Willow Creek apartments with just a pair a of jeans on and blood all over him," said Chief Clabes.

According to Stacey's brother, Knox has a history of violence.

"There was one incident where he had choked her out and I found out after a year after it happened and I went to Stacey and told her that she needs to get away from this guy and she was like 'Herb that was so long ago,' blah, blah and nothing like that has ever happened again," said Herb Beesly

It will be up to the District Attorney's office to ask for the death penalty.
