Police: SC man kills estranged wife's boyfriend
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. Police in South Carolina say a 24-year-old man has been charged with murder after he burst into his estranged wife's apartment and killed her 30-year-old boyfriend.
Authorities in Horry County say Jeffrey Horan knocked on the woman's door Tuesday morning, then pushed her out of the way and shot Hubert Aland in front of his two young children.
Police say Horan then ran from the apartment, but officers and a bloodhound team found him in woods about a quarter-mile away.
Horan is charged with murder and first-degree burglary and remains in the Horry County jail awaiting a bond hearing.
It wasn't immediately clear whether Horan had an attorney.
